Komatsu D475A Bulldozer has no difficulty in breaking down hard rocks with its great features

The Komatsu D475A series was first introduced by Komatsu in late 1998 to replace the older D475A-2 series. Two versions of this Bulldozer, the standard D475A-3 Bulldozer, were also produced by Komatsu. It may have a semi-u-blade with a capacity of 33.5 cubic yards or a full u-blade with a capacity of 45 cubic yards. This Bulldozer is 21 feet 3 inches wide and 10 feet 7 inches high and is designed to push and move 58.9 cubic yards of material, a 15 increase in capacity over the standard D475A-3.

Super Dozer Features

Unlike the traditional u-blake, the superdoser’s large blade has the ability to pivot forward and backward into three basic positions, allowing for pickaxe transport and material dumping. In addition, the large blade also increases the effective weight of the Bulldozer, providing more pushing power and better performance. It is not difficult to guess that the aim was to ensure stability when working on steep slopes and to compete head-to-head with Caterpillar’s new D11R transport Dozer model in the market when Komatsu launched its 475-3 Super dozer.

Undercarriage / Crawler Shoes

The Komatsu D475A-3 Super Dozer features Komatsu’s low Gear Drive system as well as Komatsu’s k-Bogey undercarriage system, which oscillates from two fulcrums, forcing more tracks on the ground for better traction. Additionally, this system works to reduce the impact load. Undercarriage components thus minimize wear and help provide a smoother ride for the operator. 32-inch track shoes were standard for the D475A-3 Super Dozer and 28-inch track shoes are standard for the D475A-. Komatsu offered optional wider 36-inch track shoes for both versions of this machine for operation on softer ground surfaces.

This engine produces 860 horsepower. This is 90 horsepower more than the older D475A-2 series. The standard D475A-3 Dozer uses the exact same Engine with the same power rating as the D475A and the engine on this machine drives a multi-chamber engine. Gear type hydraulic pump with a maximum output of 173.8 GPM to power foreign equipment, and if you look at the top of the engine compartment you can see two air intakes and two exhaust chimneys right in front of them.
